Improve the comfort of your home year-round by installing energy-efficient windows. Efficient windows can help seal in cool air during the summer and warm air during the winter, reducing your monthly bill and helping you save long-term.
How to qualify
Customer requirements
- Must use PSE electricity or natural gas as the primary source of your home's heating.
- Pre-existing windows and new windows must meet the equipment requirements.
- Confirm that you meet all additional rebate requirements as well as the requirements listed above.

Rebate requirements
- Purchase and install new qualifying equipment between now and 12/31/2024 to be eligible for the rebate.
- Your rebate application must be submitted (including all required documentation) within 30 days of installation.
- You can download an example of required documentation that every customer needs to include with their application.
- Paid installation invoice or purchase receipt that includes:
- Cost of all windows installed
- Number of windows installed
- Proof of U-factor rating (Packing slip listing the U-factor) for each individual window or patio door OR National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) stickers with the U-factor for each individual window or patio door.
- The measurement and type of each window or patio door being upgraded.
- Note – packing slips, contracts, scopes of work, and purchase orders do not qualify as an installation invoice or purchase receipt. The same invoice can be submitted for multiple rebates across all available categories, where applicable.
- Installation must comply with all federal, state, and local code requirements.
- Applies to existing single-family properties only. Rebates do not apply to multifamily properties (five or more attached units), commercial accounts, new construction, additions that expand your home’s square footage, or installations in unheated areas of your home.
- Windows must be installed within the conditioned living areas of the home at the time of installation (garages, unconditioned basements, etc. are not eligible).
- Window count is determined by the fenestration or opening of the replaced windows.
- Products that are replaced under warranty will not be eligible for a second rebate.
- Rebate cannot exceed the pre-tax purchase price of any rebated product.
- Cannot be combined with any other rebates except where noted.
- Customers are eligible for up to 15 rebated windows in total over the lifetime of the property.
- Each qualified single-family residence is limited to the lifetime maximum rebate payout.
- If approved, your rebate will be sent to you in the method you requested on the rebate application, either as a check or a bill credit.
If applying for increased Efficiency Boost rebates:
- All above requirements still apply.
- Review these income guidelines to ensure you qualify for Efficiency Boost.

Windows rebates FAQs
What is a U-factor?
A U-factor measures how well a product can stabilize the air temperature in a room. A lower U-factor means greater stability and, thus, higher efficiency and greater potential for energy savings. For more information, visit nfrc.org/energy-performance-label.
Are there any income-qualified programs for which I can apply?
Yes! Income-qualified customers may be eligible for increased rebates through Efficiency Boost. The first step to confirm your eligibility, contact an Energy Advisor at 1-800-562-1482, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or use our online form. How long does rebate processing take?
Rebate processing may take up to four to six weeks. Please watch your email inbox for messages from our rebate processing team in case they need additional information from you. If your application is missing any information, this will delay the rebate processing time.
I have not installed new windows yet. Can PSE provide a contractor referral?
Yes! PSE provides referrals for pre-screened independent Recommended Energy Professionals (REPs). REPs share PSE’s standard of excellence and superior service, and can help you find and apply for rebates or incentives related to your project. I plan to use, or have already used, a contractor who is not in the PSE Trade Ally network. Can I still apply for a rebate?
Yes, but PSE strongly urges all customers to rely on our network of Recommended Energy Professionals when considering new products or equipment. The contractor’s work must meet PSE’s specifications in order for the customer to be eligible for a rebate. Out-of-network contractors are not pre-approved by PSE and are sometimes unaware of PSE’s specifications. Recommended Energy Professionals are insured, knowledgeable, and trained on PSE’s rebate requirements and specifications; depending on product type, they may be able to assist with the rebate application process.
